Giant At School

Does your school have a giant?!?! If there is, here read a story about this huge giant.....
but I think you wouldn't have this chance to be with a giant like the children in this school?!

One day, when the children went to school they found a huge giant sleeping in the school library. Then the teacher rang the bell to wake him up. "It's time for school," she said.

"We need the library now. Will you please leave?" the teacher said. The giant woke up. He looked at the teacher and the children. He shook his giant head.

"I don't want to leave," he said. "I'm bored at home in the hills. I want to learn to read."

"I'd like to help you," said the teacher. "But I have to teach all the children. I have no time to teach a giant as well."

"Please let him stay," the children begged. "We'll help the giant learn to read." The children liked having a giant at school. They liked reading books with him. At playtime he was like a giant trampoline and an adventure playground all rolled into one. But the teacher found that teaching the giant to read was not easy.

Most of the books in the school were too small for him. His giant hands could not turn the small pages. His giant eyes could not read the small print. Then the teacher had an idea. She gave the giant one of the big books she and the children usually read together. It was just the right size for his giant hands and eyes. The giant began to learn to read. "Good!" said the teacher to herself.

"Soon the giant will go home. I'll be able to teach the children again." But she was wrong. Before the giant could read well enough, the teacher ran out of big books. The giant knew all the books by heart.

Then the children had an idea. "If the giant needs more big books," they said "we'll write them ourselves." Some children wrote in groups, and and some children wrote on their own. They wrote lots of big books for the giant. At last the giant learned to read. "Thank you," the giant said to the teacher and the children. "Now that I can read, it's time for me to go back to my home in the hills." The teacher gave a farewell party for the giant. The children gave him a present of all the big books they had written. The giant looked at the big books and smiled.

"If I ever want to learn to write," he said... "I'll know where to come."

So after reading this story, I am sure you know what to do if there is a giant at your school???
Really???
